Campaign Update – Will You Show Your Support

First and foremost we would like to thank everyone for their support since November last year. It has only took myself and Janet 5 months during which time we have achieved so much. We have now been recognised within Government as the Campaign Group for FACS Syndrome.
With the support of MP’s we have been able to have an Early Day Motion (EDM) set up by Dave Anderson MP for Blaydon. Here MP’s can show their support by signing the petition which asks for a Public Inquiry as to why so many people have been affected by Valproate and this has been allowed to go on for 40 years without sufficient investigations or warnings being given.

On the 26th March another supporting MP, Anas Sarwar MP for Glasgow was able to hold a Westminster Hall Debate explaining the work of the Independent Fetal Anti-Convulsant Trust (IN-FACT) and asking Norman Lamb MP to meet with us to discuss the issues surrounding Fetal Valproate Syndrome ( FVS), and again asking for a Public Inquiry.

Most of this work has been completed with generous donations and so we have now set up a Paypal account help making donations easier and more secure. If you wish to make a donations and help with our campaign please follow the link below:

We are already 12 months in front of the timetable originally set in November, with your financial help our campaign can gather momentum and achieve so much more. With the running costs of IN-FACT any finance donated is used almost immediately.

We are also asking you to approach your MP and ask him/her to sign EDM 1021 and support our campaign.

We hope you understand the importance and severity of our work to convincing the drug companies and the Government to accept their responsibilities, and look forward to any help and support you are able to give.

With Many Thanks & Best Wishes
Janet Williams
